The regional premiere of the Off-Broadway hit STRAIGHT was a major success for Utah Repertory Theater Company, with the production highly acclaimed by reviewers and popularly attended.

The world premiere of the new off-Broadway play Eco Village has found its cast and design team. Loosely based on the experiences of playwrightPhoebe Nir at the Bread and Puppet Theater, Eco Village explores the complexities of community and the boundaries of human behavior. The show will play at The Theatre at St. Clement's, 423 W. 46th Street, New York, NY 10036 from January 15-February 16 2019. Eco Village will preview from January 15-21, with opening night on January 24. FUN HOME, Salt Lake Acting Company (saltlakeactingcompany.org) The stirring performances under the expert direction of Jason Bowcutt, who guided the cast from melancholy to zany in a heartbeat, made this premiere production hauntingly moving. Hailee Olenberger was utterly astonishing in the pivotal role of Medium Alison, perfectly capturing the awkward joy of first love and discovery of her sexuality. The live band, assuredly led by David Evanoff, was an additional reason for this reviewer to see FUN HOME three times.

Tickets for the original pop/rock musical and teen horror comedy WE ARE THE TIGERS, written & composed by Preston Max Allen, will go on sale this Thursday, November 22 (Thanksgiving) at 6:00 PM. 

The celebrated author, S. Asher Gelman, who also directed the premiere of AFTERGLOW, was able to travel to Salt Lake City for Utah Repertory Theater Company's opening-night festivities. Also enjoying the show as a theatergoer was Utah state Senator Jim Dabakis, who champions theater in Utah and recommended the show's Utah production to Johnny Hebda, founder and artistic director for the company's first five successful years.

The cast of the first post-New York City production of the runaway off-Broadway hit AFTERGLOW has been announced by Utah Repertory Theater Company. The Salt Lake City-based theater company has as its mission staging premieres and neglected classics for audiences who may not otherwise be able to see these acclaimed, unique shows.

Midnight Theatrical's debut production of the "compelling and raw*," play AFTERGLOW, written and directed by S. Asher Gelman, has surpassed one million dollars in ticket sales since it began its incredible record-breaking run last June. The play has been seen by over 23,000 people at the intimate 69 seat, LOFT at the Davenport Theatre (354 West 45 Street).

Off Broadway play, AFTERGLOW, written and directed by S. Asher Gelman, will have performed 467 performances to nearly 25,000 audience members when it ends its successful run on August 12, 2017. In an effort to make sure that everyone has a chance to see it, the show will offer ten "Pay What You Wish" tickets at each performance
