The Chromolume Theatre has announced its 2026 season of musicals at The Zephyr on Melrose in Los Angeles. Themed as a season of identify and expression, it will kick off in March with The Color Purple

Mosaic Theater Company's benefit The Spark 2026 will honor philanthropist and civic leader George Vradenburg for his dedication to new play development and emerging female writers; and entrepreneur and philanthropist Andy Shallal for his commitment to art and activism.

New York City's leading chamber choir, Musica Viva NY, will present EL CAMINO: Talbot, Casals and Victoria, a one-night only winter concert on the Upper East Side at All Souls NYC.

Pittsburg Theatre Company kicks off its 2026 season with The Color Purple, running January 30 to February 8 at the California Theatre in Pittsburg, CA. The show then goes on the road to the Martinez Campbell Theatre performing February 13 to 22.

Though THE COLOR PURPLE has a fair share of tragedy, the ending is heartwarming, celebratory, and puts a pin in Celie’s story — and with Brittney Mack at the lead, this musical makes that range of emotions land. 

It may be hot out and that bright ball may be up in the sky (I think it’s called the Sun), but there are still some amazing shows coming to Seattle and surrounding areas. Check out some of these killer shows, especially since I believe all the theaters have air conditioning.
