BIO
Shawn Bowers is a member of Actors' Equity Association. Recently, he was seen on Broadway in the Tony Award-Winning musical Ain't Too Proud - The Life and Times of the Temptations. And, can be seen on TV alongside his cast on the Tony Awards and The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Regional credits include: Meet Me in St. Louis, Beauty and the Beast, Grease, The Addams Family (The Muny) and The Full Monty (STAGES St. Louis). In addition, he has taken part in various workshops and developmental industry readings of new works both in New York and Toronto. During the shutdown, he was given the opportunity to write a piece on Black Lives Matter which was published through the Ensemblist and Broadway Podcast Network (BPN). And, most recent, the Diversity and Inclusion News Blog for Actors’ Equity Association published his latest piece entitled “March on Washington: Hope in a Divided Nation,” which chronicles his experience at the March on Washington 2020.
