John Krasinski

After graduating from Brown University, John Krasinski moved to New York City, where he appeared in commercials, guest-starred on television, performed in Off-Broadway readings, and starred in the play What the Eunuch Saw. In 2000, he interned as a scriptwriter on Late Night with Conan O'Brien.

Krasinski achieved his breakthrough as Jim Halpert on NBC's The Office (2005–2013), appearing in every episode and directing several, including "Sabre." During this period, he also appeared in the films A New Wave (2006), Smiley Face (2007), License to Wed (2007), Leatherheads (2008), Away We Go (2009), and It's Complicated (2009), as well as Kinsey (2004), Duane Hopwood (2005), Jarhead (2005), The Holiday (2006), Dreamgirls (2006), For Your Consideration (2006), and providing a voice role in Shrek the Third (2007). In 2009, he made his feature directorial debut with Brief Interviews with Hideous Men, which he also wrote, produced, and acted in.

Krasinski starred in Something Borrowed (2011), Big Miracle (2012), Nobody Walks (2012), and Promised Land (2012), which he co-wrote, co-produced, and starred in. He narrated the documentary series Head Games (2012) and founded the production company Sunday Night Productions in 2013. Through the company, he executive produced Dream Corp LLC (2016–2018) and Lip Sync Battle (2015–2019). He also developed the original story for Manchester by the Sea (2016), co-starred in Aloha (2015), 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi (2016), directed and starred in The Hollars (2016), and made his Off-Broadway debut in Dry Powder (2016), earning a Theatre World Award. His final film of the period was Detroit (2017).

In 2018, Krasinski directed, co-wrote, and starred in A Quiet Place alongside Emily Blunt, launching the A Quiet Place film series. That same year, he began starring as Jack Ryan in the Amazon series Jack Ryan (2018–2023). In 2020, he created and hosted the YouTube series Some Good News. He hosted Saturday Night Live in 2021 and wrote, directed, and appeared in A Quiet Place Part II (2021). His production company signed a first-look deal with Paramount Pictures that year, and he made a cameo in Free Guy (2021).

Krasinski joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022) and voiced Superman in DC League of Super-Pets (2022). He wrote, directed, produced, and co-starred in the fantasy comedy IF (2024), alongside Ryan Reynolds. Throughout his career, he has also narrated numerous advertising campaigns and children's audiobooks.
