BIO

Bill Burr began performing stand-up comedy in 1992 at age 23 and moved to New York City in 1994, where he developed his career through television stand-up showcases including Showtime at the Apollo (2000), Comedy Central Presents (2003), Just for Laughs (2004), One Night Stand (2005), and Live at Gotham (2006). Early acting credits include Townies (1996), Two Guys and a Girl (1998), Law & Order: Criminal Intent (2002), and a recurring role on Chappelle’s Show (2004).


From 2007 onward, Burr expanded into podcasting with The Monday Morning Podcast and voice acting in Grand Theft Auto IV (2008) and its expansion The Lost and Damned (2009). He released his first stand-up special Why Do I Do This? in 2008, followed by Let It Go (2010), You People Are All the Same (2012), and I’m Sorry You Feel That Way (2014). During this period, he also appeared in films such as Date Night (2010) and The Heat (2013), and portrayed Patrick Kuby in Breaking Bad (2011–2013).

Burr co-founded the comedy network All Things Comedy in 2012. He created and starred in the Netflix animated series F Is for Family (2015–2020). He continued releasing stand-up specials including Walk Your Way Out (2017), Paper Tiger (2019), Live at Red Rocks (2022), and Drop Dead Years (2025). He also appeared in The Mandalorian (2019) as Migs Mayfeld and hosted Saturday Night Live in 2020 and 2024.

In film and television roles throughout the 2020s, Burr appeared in The King of Staten Island (2020), Immoral Compass (2021–present), Old Dads (2023), Barry (2023), and Unfrosted (2024). He returned to stand-up with major international performances including Madison Square Garden (2015, 2023), Royal Albert Hall (2018), Red Rocks Amphitheatre (2021), Fenway Park (2022), and Gillette Stadium (2024).

In 2025, Burr made his Broadway debut in the revival of Glengarry Glen Ross, performing opposite Kieran Culkin and Bob Odenkirk. He also joined the cast of The Social Reckoning (2025) and was announced to be developing scripted and unscripted projects through North Hill Productions.
