ThinkTank Theatre and Tampa Fringe bring H*tler’s Tasters to the Tampa Fringe Blackbox Theatre in Ybor. The dark comedy follows four teenage girls forced to taste Hitler’s meals, blending the terror of survival with the rituals of girlhood. The intimate staging places audiences inches from the table as the cast navigates humor, fear, loyalty, and the shifting power dynamics of growing up under war.

ThinkTank Theatre, in collaboration with Tampa Fringe, will present H*TLER'S TASTERS, a thought-provoking play exploring the lives of young women who were forced to taste Adolf Hitler's food for poisons.

'Walt Whitman's American Dream,' a new play by Sarah Vander Schaaff, will enjoy a staged reading at Seton Hall, 400 S Orange Ave, South Orange Village on Tuesday, March 24th at 6:30pm at the University Theatre on campus in the Bishop Doughty University Center.

Philadelphia Artists’ Collective will stage Susan Glaspell’s full-length drama Inheritors this winter, directed by Abby Weissman. Set on a college campus, the play examines legacy, dissent, and the pressures placed on students and faculty navigating political conflict.

I love when a school gets creative and develops a concept that truly spotlights the strengths of their students. This was absolutely the case with Joe T. Robinson High School’s theatre program as they presented The Robinson Comedy, directed by Caitlin Peterson. The Senator Stage Team not only studied a wide range of public-domain works but transformed them into a highly entertaining, cleverly cohesive performance that celebrated theatrical history and youthful creativity all at once. 

Performing One Acts has increasingly become a popular way for schools to give more students meaningful stage time while exploring bold themes within a manageable rehearsal window, and Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia embraced that spirit beautifully with their Scene & Heard: Molly's Mainstage Theatre Festival! Presented November 8–10, the festival was entirely student-directed, student-designed, and student-produced, showcasing the remarkable creativity and leadership flourishing within their program. 

As the fight for women to have equal rights and opportunities has evolved, so has the presence of plays telling these stories. When I wrote my book, Women Writing Musicals: The Legacy that the History Books Left Out, the first-ever book about female musical theatre writers, I researched many musicals that are in this genre as well.
