The Society of Composers and Lyricists announced the winners of the 7th Annual SCL Awards held February 6 at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles.

The Broadway production of Ragtime was a glorious accomplishment, a riveting testament to the original American musical and to all that America itself could be. The show ran for 834 performances at the Ford Center, closing in the final year of the 20th century. It was nominated for 13 Tony Awards, taking home four.

About Time, the new Maltby & Shire musical revue with music by Academy Award and Grammy Award winner David Shire and lyrics by Tony Award winner Richard Maltby, Jr., will premiere Off-Broadway.

The Scott Dunn Orchestra will present Those Fabulous Films of the Seventies at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts. The concert features music from iconic 1970s films by composers including John Williams, Ennio Morricone, and Jerry Goldsmith. The performance is part of the orchestra’s inaugural season at the Wallis.

With her amazing band and a deep dive into the life of a legendary Lady, Melissa Errico is back on the cabaret stage.
