BIO
Taven Blanke is a dancer, singer, and actor currently based in Orange County, CA. He has been performing in musicals since the age of 8. Since then, he has been fortunate to play many roles including his equity debut in Billy Elliot playing the role of Billy at the Goodspeed Opera House. Prior to the shutdown, Taven was set to make his Broadway debut in 2020 in The Music Man. Some of Taven’s other roles include; Race (Newsies - Musical Theater West), Cosmo Brown (Singin’ in the Rain - Academy for the Performing Arts), Mike Costa (A Chorus Line - Academy for the Performing Arts), and Dickon (The Secret Garden - Academy for the Performing Arts). Taven has won several awards including; Broadway World Best Actor in an Equity Musical (Billy - Billy Elliot - Goodspeed Opera House), Best Male Dancer - 2024 Macy Awards, Best Male Dancer - 2023 & 2024 JRay Awards for Youth, and Outstanding Vocalist - Music in the Park.
