During the 1980s, Sharon Osbourne managed Ozzy Osbourne’s solo career, overseeing a series of high-selling albums and world tours. In 1996, she founded the touring music festival Ozzfest, which became an annual event and marked its 10th anniversary in 2006. By 2007, ticket prices had risen to £76 before she announced the festival would offer free admission.
Following her work managing Ozzy Osbourne, she established Sharon Osbourne Management, representing artists including Gary Moore, Motörhead, Lita Ford, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Coal Chamber. She also co-managed the band Cube, which signed with Polydor Records.
In 2002, Osbourne became a central figure on the MTV reality series The Osbournes, which aired from 2002 to 2005. In 2003, she launched The Sharon Osbourne Show in U.S. syndication; it was canceled in 2004 after one season. In 2006, she hosted a UK chat series of the same name on ITV. She served as a judge and mentor on the UK series The X Factor from 2004 to 2007, returning in 2013, 2016, and 2017. In 2007, she joined the judging panel of America’s Got Talent and remained through 2012. In 2008, she hosted Rock of Love: Charm School. In 2009, the variety show Osbournes: Reloaded premiered and was canceled after one episode. In 2010, she competed on The Celebrity Apprentice, finishing third.
From 2010 to 2021, Osbourne co-hosted the CBS daytime talk show The Talk. In 2020, she appeared as herself in an episode of Lucifer. In 2022, she joined TalkTV to host a weekly primetime program titled The Talk.
Osbourne published her first autobiography, Extreme, in 2005. Her second memoir, Survivor, was released in 2007, followed by a third autobiography, Unbreakable, in 2013.
