Michael Learned

Michael Learned's first major screen role was as Olivia Walton on the CBS television series The Waltons, which aired from 1972 to 1981. She appeared regularly through the seventh season, returned briefly in Season 8, and later appeared in four reunion and sequel television films released in 1982, 1993, 1995 and 1997. She also appeared with The Waltons co-star Will Geer in the 1974 television film Hurricane.

She made her feature film debut in Touched by Love (1980) and later appeared in Power (1986) and Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story (1993), along with numerous made-for-television films. She starred as Nurse Mary Benjamin in the CBS drama Nurse, which aired from 1981 to 1982. She later starred in the television series Hothouse (1988) and Living Dolls (1989).

Her later television work includes a guest role on The Secret World of Alex Mack (1995), roles on All My Children and One Life to Live (2005), a recurring role on Scrubs (2006), and roles on General Hospital (2010) and The Young and the Restless (2011). In 2022, she starred as Catherine Dahmer in the Netflix limited series Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.

In theater, she performed with the American Conservatory Theater in the late 1960s and appeared in numerous Broadway and off-Broadway productions. Her stage work includes the national tour of On Golden Pond (2006–2007) and performances as Daisy Werthan in Driving Miss Daisy in 2008 and 2013.
