BIO

Chicago’s “Cabaret DIVA!” –Time Out Chicago has been performing around the country with her solo shows, Redheaded Broadway, Lucky Star: Madonna at 50 and Beyond and OUT: A Rainbow Icon Celebration. Hailing from Philadelphia Pennsylvania, she ran to the other side of the state for school at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA. After graduation she continued west, landing in Chicago. In Chicago, Melissa has had the pleasure of performing at Davenports, Drury Lane Water Tower, Hydrate, The Gentry, Theater Building Chicago, Bailiwick and the 700 seat Park West. Melissa is a Board member of Chicago’s cabaret organization, The Chicago Cabaret Professionals.

Melissa starred with 1981 Miss America Susan Powell and Broadway’s Nat Chandler in Show Stoppers, 80 Years of Broadway Favorites That Brought Down the House at the Valentine Theater in Toledo, Ohio. In New York, Melissa has been seen at The Duplex, Don’t Tell Mama, Club Iguana and now, the infamous Stonewall Inn. In Chicago Melissa has had the pleasure of working with many off loop theater companies such as The Boxer Rebellion Ensemble, Theater Building Chicago, The BackStage Theater Company, White Horse Theater Ensemble and Open Eye Productions, to name a few. She has acted and directed many productions during her Chicago stay and even took the original play Me, The Devil and Other Friends by Fannon Holland to the New York International Fringe Festival in the summer of 2003.

Melissa is the voice of Lily on the children’s animated program, The Ebos Adventures, among other voiceover work.
