BIO

Matt Stine is a talented actor who has made a name for himself on both the Broadway stage and on television. Born and raised in New York City, Stine developed a love for acting at a young age and pursued it throughout his education. He attended the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, where he honed his craft and made connections that would serve him well in his career.

Stine made his Broadway debut in 2009, when he was cast in the ensemble of the hit musical "Billy Elliot." He quickly proved himself to be a versatile performer, and was soon promoted to the role of Tony, one of the show's young leads. Stine's performance was praised by critics and audiences alike, and he went on to receive a Drama Desk Award nomination for his work in the show.
After "Billy Elliot," Stine continued to work steadily on Broadway, appearing in a number of high-profile productions. He was a member of the original cast of "Newsies," playing the role of Specs, and also appeared in "Matilda the Musical" and "The Book of Mormon." In 2015, Stine was cast as the lead in the musical "Something Rotten!," playing the role of Nick Bottom. Once again, his performance was widely praised, and he earned a Tony Award nomination for Best Actor in a Musical.
In addition to his work on stage, Stine has also made a name for himself on television. He has appeared in a number of popular shows, including "Law & Order: SVU," "The Blacklist," and "Blue Bloods." Stine's most notable television role to date, however, is his recurring role on the hit Netflix series "Stranger Things." He plays the character of Ted Wheeler, the father of one of the show's main characters, and has become a fan favorite.
Stine is also an accomplished musician, and has released several albums of original music. His music has been featured in a number of films and television shows, and he has toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe.
