Austin Pendleton Joins U.S. Premiere of THIS BEAUTIFUL FUTURE
Theaterlab, in association with Lawryn LaCroix, has announced that Tony nominee Austin Pendleton will join the cast of the U.S. premiere of This Beautiful Future by Rita Kalnejais. Pendleton replaces the previously announced Bill Buell who has withdrawn from the production.

Theaterlab and Lawryn LaCroix are presenting the U.S. premiere of This Beautiful Future by Rita Kalnejais, which marks the playwright’s New York debut. Directed by Jack Serio, This Beautiful Future is a story of young love set during World War II and features Francesca Carpanini, and Justin Mark with Bill Buell and Angelina Fiordellisi.

Tony Award-nominated and five-time Obie Award-winning theater company Clubbed Thumb (Maria Striar, Producing Artistic Director; Michael Bulger, Associate Artistic Director; Quinn Metal Corbin, Advancement Director) announced that, due to popular demand, the return engagement of Ethan Lipton's TUMACHO, directed by Tony Award nominee Leigh Silverman will add one week of performances. First seen in the 2016 SUMMERWORKS season, TUMACHO began performances on February 17 and officially opened on Saturday, February 22 at the Connelly Theater (220 East 4th Street). MasterVoices Begins 2019-2020 Season with Concert Staging of The Gershwins' LET 'EM EAT CAKE at Carnegie Hall
MasterVoices begins its 2019-20 season on Thursday, November 21 at Carnegie Hall with the concert staging of George and Ira Gershwins' 1933 musical Let 'Em Eat Cake, with a book by George S. Kaufman and Morrie Ryskind, a comic satire about a populist U.S. President who is voted out of office and stages a coup to regain power. Artistic Director Ted Sperling will direct and conduct MasterVoices, soloists, and Orchestra of St. Luke's in this timely musical which has not been heard in New York since 1987. SUMMER SHORTS 2019 begins on Friday, July 19 and runs through Saturday, August 31. Two series featuring three one-act plays in each will play in rotating repertory Tuesday - Friday at 7:15 PM; Saturday & Sunday at 2:15 PM and 7:15 PM. Please note, there is no matinee performance on Saturday, July 20. Individual calendar schedule of performance dates for Series A and Series B is available for viewing/download.
