It is the final week – only eight performances - to see Jeremy Strong in his Tony Award-winning performance in AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE, which has just broken the Circle in the Square Box Office record with $1,266,337.90 the week ending 6/16. The critically acclaimed, record-breaking revival of Henrik Ibsen’s thunderous masterwork adapted by Tony Award Nominee Amy Herzog and directed by Tony Award Winner Sam Gold began previews at the Circle in the Square Theatre on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, recouped its $5.5 million capitalization, broke box office records at the Circle in the Square Theatre Three times during its run, and must close Sunday, June 23, 2024, having played 112 performances and 23 previews.
 
AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE won the Tony Award for Jeremy Strong’s lead performance, Amy Herzog won the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Adaptation, for his performance in AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE Michael Imperioli won the Theatre World Award, and AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE won the Broadway.com Audience Choice Award for Favorite Play Revival.
