Celebrated New York stage actor and stand-up comedian Mario Cantone returns to Café Carlyle, October 22 - 26. He gained critical acclaim with his Tony-nominated one-man show Laugh Whore, from its appearance at the Cort Theatre on Broadway to the Showtime special. The previous theatre season saw Cantone starring in the Tony-winning Assassins by Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman. Both hit shows were directed by four-time Tony-winner Joe Mantello. An accomplished stage actor, Cantone has appeared on Broadway in the role of 'Buzz' in Terrence McNally's award-winning dramatic comedy, Love! Valor! Compassion! and 'Stephano' in Shakespeare's The Tempest at the Public Theater. Mario Cantone starred in the 2007 release of Sony's animated film, Surf's Up, and appeared in the hilarious film The Aristocrats. On television, Cantone can currently be seen as 'Anthony,' Charlotte's wedding-planner-with-attitude, now that HBO's Sex and the City is in syndication on TBS, E! and many other stations, as well as the Sex and the City movie franchise.

Theatr Clwyd today announces further details for the world première of Bethan Marlow's Mold Riots, which will see a community and professional cast bring one of Wales' forgotten dark days to life on the streets of Mold in a large-scale promenade production with locations including Mold Town Council Chamber, Mold cattle market and St Mary's Church. Katie Posner directs Gethin Alderman (Robat), Lauren Fitzpatrick (Margaret), Amy Forrest (Ailis), and Kai Owen (David), alongside a community cast of over 100 from ages 7 to 87, including 30 children.

The Warner Stage Company will hold auditions for a Main Stage musical production of JEKYLL & HYDEon Sunday, November 3, 2019 and Monday, November 4, 2019by appointment. The production is co-directed by Keith Paul & Sharon W. Houk with music director Holly J. McCann and choreographer Peggy Terhune. In 1920s Paris, aristocrats, artists, veterans, businessmen, workers, and peasants all gather for drinks and music at The Baron's Tavern. But business is still not good enough for the pair of owners, who plan to close up shop soon and leave the city. Their star singer, and one's former mistress, is sought after by many of the customers, including Charles, a wealthy heir and only child. To help the tavern, whose eclectic clientele is so greatly attached, avoid shutting down and to help her boss seduce the coveted singer, Charles's maid comes up with the idea of transforming it into a big cabaret. But this will require a huge investment. Despite initial resistance from his father, who is reluctant to provide financing, Charles manages to pull the plan off, hiring dancers, musicians, and staff for performances . . . every night.
