An Equity Monitor will not be provided. The producer will run all aspects of this audition.

OTHER

Theater statement: Age is not as important as the spirit of the actor. We are looking for actors who embody the sense of youth or age needed for each role. Even in the more serious plays, an ability to play comedy is important.

• Justin / Jan Veth: 30s–40s male. Justin is an intern at a prestigious art museum. He is funny and able to command a room with his charm and break your heart with his vulnerability. Jan Veth is a prideful and powerful art critic in the Netherlands who despised Van Gogh.
• Jo Van Gogh / Darlene / Alex: 20s–40s female. Jo is Vincent's sister‑in‑law, recently widowed and about to become homeless. Darlene is a waitress with a spiritual bent. Alex is an overly zealous and under prepared new intern at the museum.
