When an ordinary man stops to help a stranger, he’s catapulted into a high-speed chase across the Scottish countryside — with only his wits (and a trench coat) to survive. This fast-paced farce features over 150 characters played by just four actors in a whirlwind of costume changes, clever staging, and nonstop laughs. A comic thriller at its best, The 39 Steps is a wildly inventive tale of mistaken identity, espionage, and split-second decisions that change everything.

RENT

By: Jonathan Larson
Director: Telly Leung
Music Director: TBD
Choreographer: TBD
Rehearsal Start: 3/16/27
Previews Start: 4/7/27
Opens: 4/10/27
Closes: 5/2/27

Director’s Note (from Telly Leung): RENT is a show that has earned a significant place in the canon of musical theatre and gave some young performers in the 1990’s star-making opportunities due to their iconic, individual performances. RENT only works when each actor that assumes these roles approaches it with the same individuality – and that means divorcing yourself from those iconic performances that have come before you and trusting that YOU already possess everything YOU need to embody these characters and make them your own.

Ethnicity note: The cast of RENT should reflect the diversity of New York City. All ethnicities are encouraged to audition for all roles.

SEEKING

Reminiscent of Kurt Cobain, Lenny Kravitz, and Eddie Vedder as the self-proclaimed “pretty boy, frontman” of a rock band. [Tom Collins] Male-identifying, 20s to 30s, any ethnicity. A computer genius and NYU professor. Nurturer with a smooth and relaxed disposition. Tom used to be a roommate in the loft and is HIV-positive. Eventually falls in love with Angel. Vocal range top: A4 / bottom: F#2.

[Benjamin Coffin III (Benny)] Male-identifying, 20s to 30s, any ethnicity. The landlord of Mark and Roger's apartment building. A former roommate in the loft who traded in personal morals for power, privilege and wealth. Vocal range top: F#4 / bottom: Bb2.
