SEEKING
Equity actors for roles in MALA ARIA. Some roles will be understudied.
AMAZIA
Mid to late 20s; she/hers; African/Black. A research scientist determined to eradicate malaria; brilliant and finding her place between two cultures. 15 performances — Thursdays through Sundays.
KEZIA
Late teens to early 20s; she/hers; African/Black. Amazia’s sister; sweet and observant, the youngest in the family.
BABA AMAZIA
Mid to late 50s; he/his; African/Black. Amazia and Kezia’s father; loving, erudite, traditional, stubborn.
JASMINE
Early to mid 30s; she/hers; African/Black. Amazia’s partner; a medical doctor, caring as well as tough and loyal.

Venue: Bauer Boucher Theatre Center, on the campus of Kean University.
Kean University in Union, NJ is a 38-minute train ride from NY Penn Station.
PREPARATION
Please prepare the sides (which will be available the morning of the audition through the Equity monitor) for the character you are auditioning for. Also bring your headshot and resume stapled together. Always bring your Equity Membership card to auditions.
EPA Procedures are in effect for this audition. An Equity Monitor will be provided.
