Under the Arch Incubator and cast and crew of the National Touring Company of WICKED will host 'Collaborative Cabarets: An Evening of New Musical Theatre,' an evening of song and dance at The Monocle's Emerald Room in St. Louis, 4510 Manchester Ave, on Monday evening, December 16. Doors will open at 6:30 PM, with live performances and specialty cocktails available at the Monocle's bar before the show. Net proceeds will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA) and Under the Arch Incubator.

When Actor/Singer Scott Raneri was pondering a theme for his New York Solo Cabaret Debut Show, he decided to go back to his roots-literally. Last December, Raneri registered to take a DNA test with the ubiquitous genetic testing company 23andMe. Raneri wanted to learn more about his ancestry and his health profile. When he found he was a genetic match with a cousin he didn't know he had, that led to a more startling discovery-that his grandfather was NOT the man who was married to his grandmother, but was a family friend named Butch Marzo. Hence, the show's title.

Badiene Magaziner will present and host a Benefit on November 25, 2019 at Feinstein's/54Below for the AJ Project. The AJ Project was founded by Christine Perrelli in memory of her son, AJ Perrelli. AJ, a professional dancer, singer, and actor, passed away from an unexpected head injury at the age of 26. AJ toured with The Village People, performing the role of The Cowboy throughout the country. He had just completed his run and trained Jim Newman to take over, while he stepped in as stand-by for The Construction Worker and The Cowboy. a?oeI was teaching Nick Perrelli, AJ's brother, at the time. Nick was also a gifted singer who had performed on 'THE X FACTOR.' We were all devastated when we heard the tragic news.a??

TOM WOPAT will return to The Beach Café (1326 Second Avenue) on Monday, December 30 at 9:00 PM for a special Christmas concert. Coming on the heels of his five-week residency at the venue this fall, the evening will feature seasonal classics and holiday hits, including highlights from his recent album Home for Christmas. Wopat will be joined by his longtime music director Tedd Firth on piano, in addition to Peter Grant on drums, and Ed Howard on bass, with Wopat himself featured on guitar.

Manhattan mainstay Daryl Sherman returns to Birdland Theater with Satchmo the Singer on Thursday, November 21st at 7:00 & 9:45 pm, focusing on jazz trumpet icon Louis Armstrong as a singer as well as his importance to the American Songbook. Armstrong crossed over and went outside the box with songs from Broadway, film and pop, in addition to his stale repertoire of jazz standards. Known the world over as 'Satchmo,' his unique gravelly sound and phrasing influenced singers from Bing Crosby, Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald to Frank Sinatra and myriad others.Inspired by the blues and swing, some of Armstrong's best known vocals were 'A Kiss To Build A Dream On,' 'Chim Chim Cheree,' 'La Vie en Rose' and 'Hello Dolly.' Bernie Williams, Latin Grammy-nominated jazz musician and former New York Yankees World Series Champ, returns to Café Carlyle, April 21-25. Bernie Williams, the New York Yankees center fielder for 16 years, is best known for his long and storied career in pinstripes - a career that includes four World Series championships, five appearances on the American League All-Star Team, four Gold Glove Awards and the 1996 American League Championship Series Most Valuable Player Award. Since he's hung up his cleats, he's had time to devote to his other great passion in life - jazz guitar. Now that he's out of the game, he's getting back to his musical roots. His return engagement at Café Carlyle, as part of the Bernie Williams Collective, will include an eclectic mix of Latin rhythms, smooth jazz, blues and standards. The Bernie Williams Collective is comprised of Bernie Williams (guitar), Don Harris (trumpet; music director), Joel Rosenblatt (drums), Dave Anderson (bass guitar), Erik Piza (percussion) and Clifford Carter (piano; keyboard).

Enjoying the final show of the series were Michele Lee, Marilyn Maye, Linda Purl, Stacy Sullivan, Deborah Grace Winer, Jamie deRoy and Ken Fallin among others at the intimate East Side supper club.
