When Actor/Singer Scott Raneri was pondering a theme for his New York Solo Cabaret Debut Show, he decided to go back to his roots-literally. Last December, Raneri registered to take a DNA test with the ubiquitous genetic testing company 23andMe. Raneri wanted to learn more about his ancestry and his health profile. When he found he was a genetic match with a cousin he didn't know he had, that led to a more startling discovery-that his grandfather was NOT the man who was married to his grandmother, but was a family friend named Butch Marzo. Hence, the show's title.

Armstrong crossed over and went outside the box with songs from Broadway, film and pop, in addition to his stale repertoire of jazz standards. Bernie Williams, Latin Grammy-nominated jazz musician and former New York Yankees World Series Champ, returns to Café Carlyle, April 21-25. Bernie Williams, the New York Yankees center fielder for 16 years, is best known for his long and storied career in pinstripes - a career that includes four World Series championships, five appearances on the American League All-Star Team, four Gold Glove Awards and the 1996 American League Championship Series Most Valuable Player Award. Since he's hung up his cleats, he's had time to devote to his other great passion in life - jazz guitar. Now that he's out of the game, he's getting back to his musical roots. His return engagement at Café Carlyle, as part of the Bernie Williams Collective, will include an eclectic mix of Latin rhythms, smooth jazz, blues and standards. After enjoying four Sold Out Shows, great reviews, and many repeat patrons and standing ovations when their delightful FLAME And FORTUNE Game & Variety Show played during the Orlando Fringe Festival 2019, the show's creators and stars, Miss (Sam Singhaus) Sammy and Michael Wanzie have revamped and updated and sprinkled their hit game show with a holiday motif to be presented the first three Wednesday evenings in December 2019 as well as on Monday, December 16 in The Starlight Room @ Savoy.
