National Cabaret, Stage Performer, and Recording Artist, Liz Rubino, will present her newest show, "MUSIC, SHE WROTE..." An Honoring of The Women Composers and Lyricists of Musical Theatre. Featuring Mac Award winner Matthew Martin Ward on piano, Miss Rubino will perform songs by incredible women, including Georgia Stitt, Betty Comden, Lucy Simon, Jeanine Tesori, Michele Brourman, Amanda McBroom, Lynn Ahrens, Mindi Dickstein, Mary Rodgers, Kate Diaz, Tina Landau, Barbara Anselmi, and Nancy Ford. What better time in our nation to honor these talented women’s contributions to the arts? Rubino has been praised as “a winking songbird with golden pipes,” “a gift from the theatrical gods,” “a marvel,” "sage-like", and having “a voice so flexible that she can perform Julie Andrews-to-grizzly-bear-and back,” from Cabaret Scenes, the Bistro Awards, Time Out New York, The Cleveland Plain Dealer, The Akron Beacon Journal, South Florida Choral Arts, and more. A national soloist award-winner and AEA stage performer, Liz has played iconic roles such as “Rose” in Gypsy, “Aldonza” in Man of La Mancha, “Madeleine Tru” in Lippa’s The Wild Party, “Meredith Parker” in Bat Boy, and the “Countess Aurelia” in Dear World, among others. Her two solo albums, Woman Under the Covers and Touch of the Moon, have received glowing reviews from Midwest Records, Blue Jazz Records, and Night Life Exchange. One night only! www.lizrubino.com
