S&Co Announces Interim Director For Center For Actor Training

Shakespeare & Company recently appointed Susan Dibble as Interim Director for the Company's Center for Actor Training. Dibble, a Founding Member of Shakespeare & Company, is an educator and artist. Her movement work was seen on stage this past season in Twelfth Night and for the past four decades she has been faculty member for the training program, teaching at the Month Long Intensive, Summer Shakespeare Intensive (formerly the Summer Training Institute), and various workshops.

Cape Rep Theatre will present the regional premiere of SOMETHING ROTTEN!, book by Karey Kirkpatrick & John O'Farrell, music and lyrics by Wayne Kirkpatrick & Karey Kirkpatrick, conceived by Karey Kirkpatrick & Wayne Kirkpatrick, November 6 through December 8, Tuesdays through Thursdays at 7 pm, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm, and Sundays at 2 pm. No performances November 26, 27 & 28. Tickets are $35 and $40. Pay-What-You-Can-Night is the first Friday, November 8th. BMOP Explores Klezmer Music With David Krakauer

The Boston Modern Orchestra Project (BMOP), the nation's premier orchestra dedicated exclusively to commissioning, performing, and recording new orchestral music, presents Klezmer Madness: a one-night only concert of contemporary music by three composers exploring their Jewish heritage through klezmer music. Featuring guest soloist and klezmer superstar David Krakauer, the program includes the Boston premiere of Mathew Rosenblum's searing clarinet concerto Lament/Witches' Sabbath, Wlad Marhulets's Concerto for Klezmer Clarinet, and Avner Dorman's Ellef Symphony and Uriah.

Over 125 Berkshire Students Take The Colonial Stage In WILLY WONKA KIDS

Berkshire Theatre Group (BTG) will present Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka KIDS on October 26 at 11am and 2pm, and October 27 at 2pm at The Colonial Theatre. This production is directed by Travis Daly, with music direction by Erin M. White and choreography by Kathy Jo Grover. This new annual fall KIDS production will be the first time BTG will feature exclusively 2nd through 7th grade students on the Colonial stage, in a production geared specifically for this age group. This new fall addition has allowed BTG to expand its wide-reaching and extensive year-round education program, BTG PLAYS!, which serves 13,000 school children in over 26 schools across 15 towns.

Urbano Project announces two Artists-in-Residence for fall 2019: Erin Genia (Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate) and Rachel Allen (Nez Perce), Boston-based artists with Native American heritage. As part of the residency, both artists will lead fall 2019 Youth Artists Projects centered around Urbano's FY20 theme Creative Conditions; and have solo exhibitions at Urbano's gallery in Jamaica Plain. Erin Genia's exhibition will open Oct. 24, 2019 and Rachel Allen's on January 23, 2020.
