An American in Paris, which opened April 12, 205, at the Palace Theatre, just celebrated it's 100th performance. As if the night wasn't exciting enough, one lucky audience member was called up on stage to join the cast to receive a free trip to Paris, France. The seventh annual National High School Musical Theatre Awards / Jimmy Awards were held last night, June 29, 2015, at the Minskoff Theatre on Broadway. This one-of-a-kind-event was hosted by two-time Tony Award-winner Michael Cerveris, currently on Broadway in this year's Best Musical Fun Home at Circle in the Square. The coveted Jimmy Award for Best Performance by an Actress and Best Performance by an Actor on Monday, June 29 at Broadway's Minskoff Theatre, was presented to Marla Louissaint representing The Gershwin Awards and Anthony Skillman, representing the M.A.C.Y. Transport Group will soon present Three Days to See, conceived and directed by Jack Cummings III, based on the words of Helen Keller.  Three Days to See is scheduled to begin performances July 12, open July 26, and finish its run August 16 at Theatre 79, 79 East 4 Street.

Rehearsals are currently underway for Broadway's new musical Amazing Grace, which will play Broadway's Nederlander Theatre (208 West 41st Street) with performances beginning Thursday, June 25 for a Thursday, July 16 opening night. Serendipity 3 (225 E 60th St, between 2nd & 3rd Ave.) just unveiled their Amazing Grace Sweet Freedom Sundae and some of the cast was on hand for the special event. The Public Theater's Free Shakespeare in the Park production of The Tempest officially opened last night, June 16, and runs through Sunday, July 5, 2015. In The Tempest, Shakespeare's classic about young love, old enemies, and the eternal magic of storytelling, Prospero, exiled to a fantastical island, unleashes a churning storm to shipwreck the traitor brother who stole his throne and settle the score once and for all. But bitter revenge is upended by newfound love in this sublime masterpiece that proves we are all 'such stuff as dreams are made on.'

The beloved Broadway tradition continued yesterday as Sardi's (234 West 44th Street) added a caricature for three-time Tony Award winning choreographer and director Kathleen Marshall to its walls with an unveiling celebration.

Earlier today, Macy's welcomed TV and Broadway star Matthew Morrison as he hosted the exclusive in-store CD and digital release of Finding Neverland: The Album from Republic Records, along with a special performance by singer-songwriter Kiesza. Customers were invited to celebrate the album release with Morrison and Kiesza, as she dazzled the crowd with her solo track, "Stronger." THE 69TH ANNUAL TONY? AWARDS, aired live from Radio City Music Hall, last night Sunday, June 7 (8:00-11:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network.
