Jennifer Broski

Born and raised in Maine, she fell in love with the city while still in high school. After a year at Marymount Manhattan College, she returned home to finish her education (go Black Bears!), though she left a piece of her heart here. She spent a few years in Northampton, MA, before finally returning to the city she loved. She’s worn many hats—writer, bookseller, merch girl, and more—but  photographer is her favorite. She’s been shooting for BWW since 2011, but has been holding a camera for as long as she can remember. In her down time, you’ll find her digging at a record store (tracking down every bit of Tori Amos music and memorabilia she can find), baking, or checking up on feral cats nearby. And she’s still a big kid who loves all things Muppet. She swears she’ll finish her novel someday.

The new musical Daddy Long Legs will have an open-ended run at the Davenport Theatre (354 West 45th Street). Starring Megan McGinnis (Broadway's LES MISERABLES, Side Show, Little Women) and Paul Alexander Nolan (Broadway's Once, Jesus Christ Superstar, Doctor Zhivago) and based on the 1912 novel by Jean Webster, Daddy Long Legs features music and lyrics by Tony Award nominee Paul Gordon (Sense and Sensibility), book by Tony Award and Olivier Award winner John Caird (LES MISERABLES), and direction by John Caird. Daddy Long Legs begins previews on September 10, 2015, and will officially open September 28, 2015. Tickets are on sale now at Telecharge.com. Harold Pinter's Old Times, directed by Douglas Hodge, is coming to Broadway as part of Roundabout's 50th anniversary season, starring Clive Owen, Eve Best and Kelly Reilly. The show will begin preview performances on Thursday, September 17, 2015, and open officially on Tuesday, October 6, 2015. This is a limited engagement through Sunday, November 29, 2015, on Broadway at the American Airlines Theatre (227 West 42nd Street).

Deaf West's acclaimed production of Steven Sater and Duncan Sheik's Spring Awakening, directed byMichael Arden and choreographed by Spencer Liff, began rehearsals earlier this month for its big Broadway transfer. Signature Theatre presents the world premiere of A.R. Gurney's new play LOVE & MONEY, directed by Mark Lamos. The production runs through October 4, 2015 in The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). This show is a co-production with Westport Country Playhouse.

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) will present the world-premiere production of Ugly Lies the Bone by Lindsey Ferrentino, directed by Patricia McGregor, as part of the 50th Anniversary Season. The cast will feature Karron Graves (Kacie), Mamie Gummer (Jess), Caitlin O'Connell (Voice / Their Mom), Chris Stack (Stevie) and Haynes Thigpen(Kelvin). Roundabout welcomes back Mamie Gummer, who made her New York stage debut in Roundabout's 2005 production of Mr. Marmalade.

Full casting has been announced for Laugh It Up, Stare It Down, a new play written by Alan Hruska (The Man on Her Mind, New House under Construction, Reunion) and directed by Chris Eigeman (known as a filmmaker for Turn The River and as an actor for roles in television's Gilmore Girls and the films Metropolitan, Barcelona, and The Last Days of Disco). Laugh It Up, Stare It Down will premiere at The Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street) beginning a limited engagement on August 26th with opening night set for September 9th.

Directed by Obie Award winner Les Waters (Doris to Darlene at PH; the recent 10 Out of 12; In the Next Room, or the vibrator play; Big Love; eurydice), the play is the opening production of the theater company's 2015/2016 Season.

A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER just welcomed back original Broadway cast member, Tony nominee Bryce Pinkham, to the 2014 Best Musical last night, July 28, as 'Monty Navarro'. Pinkham departed the production earlier this year, joining Elisabeth Moss and Jason Biggsin the short-lived Broadway revival of Wendy Wasserstein's THE HEIDI CHRONICLES.

The New York Civil Liberties Union, the New York State affiliate of the ACLU, just welcomed a star-studded lineup for its annual benefit concert. 'Broadway Stands Up for Freedom,' a celebratory event in honor of the recent Supreme Court victory for the freedom to marry, boasted performances by some of Broadway's finest last night at the NYU Skirball Center for Performing Arts (566 LaGuardia Place).

The New York City premiere by Deborah Zoe Laufer (End Days, Leveling Up) and directed by Obie winner Liesl Tommy(Appropriate, The Good Negro) will play a limited engagement August 4 - September 13, 2015 at Primary Stages at The Duke on 42nd Street - a New 42nd Street project. Opening night is Tuesday, August 18 at 7PM.
