Preview: PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: THE CURSE OF THE BLACK PEARL IN CONCERT with PhotoPreview: PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: THE CURSE OF THE BLACK PEARL IN CONCERT with the FILMharmonique Orchestra
by Amanda Barnum on April 28, 2026 in Calgary

Released 23 years ago, ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl’ is the first film in what has now become a $4.5 billion franchise with five films released and a sixth on the way. The hilariously mischievous Captain Sparrow has been a fan favourite thanks to Johnny Depp’s skilled portrayal, and the film’s quick, witty plot is complimented by an astounding cast of actors. The visual effects, set decor, wardrobe, and props blend the world of mid-1700’s Jamaica into a truly magical place. However, nothing transports the audience quite as effectively as the powerful motion picture score.

FIM DE PARTIDA (Endgame) Returns: Marco Nanini Stars in Beckett Masterpiece at T PhotoFIM DE PARTIDA (Endgame) Returns: Marco Nanini Stars in Beckett Masterpiece at Teatro Paulo Autran
by Claudio Erlichman on April 28, 2026 in Brazil

Samuel Beckett’s acclaimed masterpiece Endgame (Fim de Partida) opens April 30 at Teatro Paulo Autran, inside Sesc Pinheiros, in a new production directed by Rodrigo Portella. Starring Marco Nanini, Guilherme Weber, Helena Ignez, and Ary França, the tragicomic classic revisits Beckett’s haunting post-apocalyptic world, where Hamm, a blind and paralyzed old man, and his servant Clov remain trapped in a tense relationship of dependence, cruelty, and endless waiting. Written in the aftermath of World War II, the play remains one of the most powerful works of the Theater of the Absurd, exploring power, isolation, and the search for meaning in a collapsing world.
