Smuin Cancels Remaining DANCE SERIES 2 Performances, Announces Virtual Opening Night

When Festival Napa Valley, California Wine Country's flagship music festival, made the decision to postpone its 15th Anniversary Season to 2021, its artists refused to be silenced. Led by two alumni of the Festival's Blackburn Music Academy - conductor Zach Salsburg-Frank and violinist Sienna Peck - 126 past and present Festival Napa Valley musicians joined forces to create an extraordinary virtual performance of the famous a?oeVa, pensieroa?? chorus from the opera Nabucco by Giuseppe Verdi.

Following an extensive search, Frameline announced Lindsey Hodgson as its new Director of Distribution and Educational Programming. In this role, Hodgson will oversee Frameline Distribution, the world's only non-profit LGBTQ+ film distributor serving OTT platforms, broadcasters, educational institutions, public libraries, film festivals, and community members; Frameline Voices, which provides a platform to connect and amplify stories of underrepresented perspectives to a global audience; and Youth in Motion, which provides free LGBTQ+ films and curriculum guides to Genders & Sexualities Alliances and educators.

Their creative solution is called MarshStream, which offers a mind-boggling variety of programming seven days a week, including game nights, live performance readings, performance development classes, and archived performance streams. Acclaimed Ragazzi Boys Chorus invites boys who love to sing to apply now to join the chorus in Fall 2020. To prevent the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), the Grammy Award-winning chorus has cancelled its May 30 free SingFest, a popular mini-camp that combines auditions with a morning of song. Instead, boys aged 7 to 18 can virtually get introduced to Ragazzi from the comfort of their homes, meeting online one-on-one with a Ragazzi chorus director for some short, fun singing games appropriate to their age level.

Diablo Ballet Meets The COVID-19 Challenge
