Signature Theatre will present Safety Not Guaranteed, a new indie-rock musical by Ryan Miller of Guster and book writer Nick Blaemire. Based on the 2012 film, the production explores time travel, regret, and risk through a contemporary musical lens.

An epic musical is taking the stage this week as Des Moines Performing Arts gets ready for an epic change of its own. This week, it was announced that Monica Holt will take over as President and CEO of Des Moines Performing Arts, succeeding Jeff Chelsvig, who is retiring. A big thank you to Jeff Chelsvig for the work he has done over the years, introducing so many to the power of the performing arts. The epic tale taking the stage at Des Moines Performing Arts is none other than the return engagement of “Les Misérables.”

Now touring North America, this updated version of the beloved musical has been crafted by producer Cameron MacIntosh. For this production he replaced the rotating stage of the original production with background projections and implemented dialogue, orchestration and costumes changes. The results are stunning!

Center Stage Records has released the Original Broadway Cast Recording of Pirates! The Penzance Musical on CD. The album is also available in streaming and digital formats.

Returning principal cast has been revealed for Cameron Mackintosh’s production of Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg’s Tony Award-winning musical, LES MISÉRABLES. Preston Truman Boyd rejoins the cast as Javert.

Rockers On Broadway returns October 27, 2025, at Sony Hall with a Yacht Rock–themed celebration honoring Jefferson Starship and Chris Stewart. Hosted by Renée Marino, the event will feature Broadway and rock performers.

Jutst yesterday, the best of Broadway came together in Shubert Alley for the 27th annual Broadway Barks. Hosted by co-founder Bernadette Peters and Beth Leavel, the special event featured a ‘meet and greet' of all the adoptable pets, who made their Broadway debut on stage alongside some of Broadway's favorite stars. BROADWAY BARKS has announced additional celebrities for their 27th annual dog and cat adoption. As previously announced, the event will be hosted by co-founder Bernadette Peters and Beth Leavel and is produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
