The North American Tour of Les Miserables of the world’s most popular musical will make its final return to Portland at Keller Auditorium. Boublil & Schönberg’s score of Les Miserables includes the classic songs “I Dreamed a Dream,” “On My Own.'

Broadway In Chicago has announced casting for the Chicago engagement of Cameron Mackintosh's acclaimed production of Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg's Tony Award-winning musical phenomenon, LES MISÉRABLES.

The barricade is up at the Orpheum Theatre, and yep — Les Misérables still packs a punch. It’s in town through February 22 with the Bank of America Broadway on Hennepin series, and whether you’re a longtime fan or finally seeing what all the fuss is about, this cast makes it worth the trip downtown.

There’s something truly special about LES MISERABLES that keeps audiences coming back for more, and this LES MIZ is certainly no exception.  Arguably the greatest musical of all time, LES MISERABLES strikes every chord with its powerful message of love, rebellion, sacrifice, redemption and inspiration.  A brilliant musical masterpiece oozing with a lush, rich score, LES MISERABLES is a timeless testament to the ultimate survival of the human spirit.

 The American Theatre Guild will welcome Cameron Mackintosh’s acclaimed production of Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg’s Tony Award-winning musical phenomenon, LES MISÉRABLES.

Hayden Tee will return to the role of ‘Inspector Javert’ in the North American Tour of Les Misérables. Nick Cartell continues his celebrated run as the fugitive ‘Jean Valjean’.

An epic musical is taking the stage this week as Des Moines Performing Arts gets ready for an epic change of its own. This week, it was announced that Monica Holt will take over as President and CEO of Des Moines Performing Arts, succeeding Jeff Chelsvig, who is retiring. A big thank you to Jeff Chelsvig for the work he has done over the years, introducing so many to the power of the performing arts. The epic tale taking the stage at Des Moines Performing Arts is none other than the return engagement of “Les Misérables.”

It is iconic. It is legendary. It is soul-stirring. LES MISÉRABLES has captivated audiences since it debuted in 1980 in Paris, France as a French-language musical. It draws in audience members of course, but it also draws in exceptional talent. Each production relies on the passion of its performers, and the current touring cast brings enough passion to start a revolution. 

Returning principal cast has been revealed for Cameron Mackintosh’s production of Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg’s Tony Award-winning musical, LES MISÉRABLES. Preston Truman Boyd rejoins the cast as Javert.

If you’ve seen Les Miserables many times over the years, you might wonder if you really have to go again. Is it worth it? Should I bother? Yes it is, and yes you should. The show remains so special, so strong, and even after years of repeat viewings? It’s never not worth it.

Tickets for Cameron Mackintosh’s acclaimed production of Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg’s Les Misérables will go on sale to the public Friday, October 24 at 10:00 a.m.
