The World Ballet Company will present the iconic ballet Swan Lake at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center. This performance offers an opportunity for ballet enthusiasts to experience one of the most celebrated works in the ballet repertoire.

Manhattan School of Music has appointed Obie Award-winning composer, music supervisor, orchestrator, pianist, and educator Or Matias as Dean of the School’s Musical Theatre division.

There’s a reason that the ballet holds rank as an elite art form, and Alberta Ballet’s production of ‘Swan Lake’ is evidence of just such a title. Arguably the most famous ballet in the world, ‘Swan Lake’ is a story of love, deception, and loss. We must count ourselves amongst the truly blessed to bear witness to such a spectacle of raw physical mastery by both local and, in this case, international stars.

Sweeney Todd has found its Mrs. Lovett! Actress, dancer, and cabaret performer Meow Meow will star alongside Ramin Karimloo, who takes on the role of the Demon Barber of Fleet Street.

Even if you’ve never seen a single production, chances are you’ve at least heard of Swan Lake. Maybe you’re like me and had your first exposure to the story thanks to the 1994 animated movie The Swan Princess.

Sharehouse Production Company will present its debut production, Tonsils + Tweezers, at the Old Fitz Theatre in Sydney. The play by Will O’Mahony will run from February 17 through February 27 as part of the venue’s late-night programming.

I couldn't help but get swept away by The Red Shoes. A rich blend of romantic storytelling and cinema, this production showcases the best Matthew Bourne has to offer as a love letter to ballet in its purest (and most haunting) form. If you're unable to find a production of The Nutcracker this holiday season, a trip to Sadler's Wells will more than suffice.
