BIO
Zoe Burke (she/they) is a Santa Fe based movement professional, theatre educator, and stage director of Cherokee and Weapemeoc descent. Select stage direction credits include Much Ado About Nothing at the New Mexico Shakespeare Festival, OR, at the Santa Fe Playhouse, and Ad Astra Theatre Co.'s production of C*CK. Select intimacy design credits include Santa Fe Playhouse’s Laughs in Spanish, Sunday in the Park with George, On Clover Road, and The Baby Monitor, Tri-M Productions’ Spring Awakening, Cabaret, and Oklahoma!, Incite Shakespeare Company’s Romeo and Juliet, The Taming of the Shrew, Pericles, and The Winter’s Tale, and the films Bottom Out, Night of the Starlings, and The Storm. Zoe served as a teaching artist for SAG-AFTRA accredited intimacy design training company Intimacy Directors and Coordinators during their Consent Forward Artist program and developed and taught curriculum around developing culturally responsive intimacy staging when working with Indigenous actors; she currently serves as the Associate Artistic Director of Incite Shakespeare Company and coordinates their BAR(d) program.
