Mary Zimmerman has won several prestigious awards, including Outstanding Director, Resident Musical at the Helen Hayes Awards for Candide. She received Outstanding Play at the Drama Desk Awards for Metamorphoses, as well as Outstanding Director of a Play from the Outer Critics Circle Awards for Metamorphoses. Additionally, she was honored with Outstanding Director at The Lortels for Metamorphoses and won Best Direction of a Play at the Tony Awards for Metamorphoses.
