Lyle Lovett is an American country singer, songwriter, record producer and actor. Active since 1980, he has recorded 13 albums and released 25 singles to date, including his highest entry, the number 10 chart hit on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, "Cowboy Man". Lovett has won four Grammy Awards, including Best Male Country Vocal Performance and Best Country Album. His most recent album is 12th of June, released in 2022.

“Mad Love” co-written by Rose, Jordan Leigh Meredith (Sad Penny) and K.S. Rhoads spotlights Maggie's spell-binding vibrato. The torchy showstopper features Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit member Sadler Vaden on guitar, playing echo-drenched spaghetti western licks, along with haunting guest vocals by John Paul White (The Civil Wars).
Recorded at Asheville's Echo Mountain, the album was co-produced by Dave Wilson and Nashville-based Rachael Moore (Kacey Musgraves, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss), whom the band befriended during a stint serving as the backing band on the Showtime series George & Tammy, shot in Wilmington, NC.
