An award winning actor appearing on stage, film and television, Kate Goehring includes among her many theatre credits THE INHERITANCE on Broadway, the original Harper Pitt in the National Tour of the Michael Mayer production of ANGELS IN AMERICA for which she received Los Angeles Pride and Miami Carbonel Awards. Stage credits across America include Chicago’s Goodman and Court Theatre’s, two Humana Festivals at the Actors Theatre of Louisville, Intiman Playhouse, A Contemporary Theatre, Arizona Theatre Company and Boston's Huntington Theatre. She has also worked on world premieres such as Tony Kushner’s SLAVS! (Thinking about the Longstanding Problem of Virtue and Happiness) and Emily Mann's adaptation of THE CHERRY ORCHARD for The McCarter. Recent roles include Vivian Bearing in WIT at NC Theater (Broadway World Award); everybody in the one-person/seven-character show THE BLONDE, THE BRUNETTE AND THE VENGEFUL REDHEAD (Triad Stage); and Amanda in THE GLASS MENAGERIE (Also Triad). She played Bella alongside Judy Kaye in LOST IN YONKERS (Arizona Theater Company), and did the world premiere of THE FAIRYTALE LIVES OF RUSSIAN GIRLS at the Alliance.
In the past few years, work has also included Lady Bracknell in New York Classical's THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST, Elizabeth in Sharon Ott’s production of THE SYRINGA TREE; Carole Cutrere in Molly Smith’s production of ORPHEUS DESCENDING at Arena Stage; and Margaret White in Theatre Couture/PS-122’s production of CARRIE: A PERIOD PIECE, with puppets by world-renowned puppet master, Basil Twist.
In film and television, Goehring has been nominated for a Chicago Emmy award for PBS’ Moment of Rage. Across the pond she starred opposite David Jason as Detective Grace Wallace in the BBC tele-film, March in Windy City. Closer to home, she has co-starred in ER, Gossip Girl, The Untouchables, all three Law and Orders, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, The New Amsterdam, and Mr. Robot. She is Magenta in Grand Theft Auto V.
