Jacob (he/him pronouns) is a NYC-based transgender actor, specializing in musical theater and character roles. He lives in Brooklyn with his best friend, Mabel the cat, and his other best friend Amy. He grew up in New Jersey, where he took dance classes from a very young age. He began pursuing theater in high school--in 2014, he received the Paper Mill Playhouse Rising Star Award for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of Frau Blucher in Young Frankenstein. He is aware this award doesn't hold much weight in his older age, but he still thinks it's neat. He studied at the Paper Mill Playhouse Summer Intensive Conservatory for acting, singing, dance, and improv. Jacob has been seen in both regional and NYC productions, most notably as Max in Hir at Island City Stage (dir. Andy Rogow), Milo in workshops for Q2 by James Lecesne and Ryan Amador at New York Stage & Film's Powerhouse In Residence (dir. James Lecesne), and for originating the roles of Jackson in workshops for Wonder Boy: A New Musical ?by J. Jarrett at The Dare Tactic (dir. Nina Roy) and Tony in both in workshops for and the Off-Broadway premier of #Adulting at St. Luke's Theatre (dir. Mika Kauffman). Jacob has also performed at various NYC venues, including Joe's Pub, The Duplex, and the Clark Studio Theater at Lincoln Center. He can be seen in the crowd on S4E14 of Madam Secretary if you look hard enough.
