?Barrett Riggins is a New York-based actor and songwriter originally from Santa Rosa, California. He recently graduated with honors from the University of Michigan with a BFA in Musical Theatre. This July, he appeared as Dennis in All Shook Up at the St. Louis Muny. NYMF: Summer Valley Fair. Regional credits include Grease (Doody), A Little Night Music (Henrik) and Dogfight (Bernstein). University credits include The Flick (Sam), American Idiot (St. Jimmy) and A Man of No Importance (Alfie). Barrett is also an accomplished songwriter who has performed across the country. He wrote the scores to past UMich hits/controversies Obamarama and Who Killed Jesus? A Murder Mystery of Biblical Proportions. He loves Sondheim, baseball, and is an avid podcast listener. Theatre Under the Stars presents MEMPHIS! The 2010 Tony Awards Best Musical winner, featuring a book by Joe DiPietro and music by David Bryan, is set in the 1950s. It follows DJ Huey Calhoun, who breaks convention when he becomes one of the first white DJs to play black music on his radio station. MEMPHIS is set to open February 20th, and will run through March 4th.
