Adam Godley last appeared on Broadway as Victor in the Tony Award-winning production of Noel Coward's Private Lives, for which he received a Theatre World Award. In the West End, he last appeared as Raymond Babbitt in the acclaimed stage adaptation of Rain Man opposite Josh Hartnett, and received an Olivier Award nomination as Best Actor. Other West End credits include: June Moon; The Revenger's Comedies (directed by Alan Ayckbourn); The Rivals; and The Importance of Being Earnest. At the National Theatre: Close of Play (directed by Harold Pinter); Watch on the Rhine; Mr. A's Amazing Maze Plays; Cleo, Camping, Emmanuelle, and Dick (Olivier Award Nomination, Best Actor); Two Thousand Years (directed by Mike Leigh); and the title role in Paul (directed by Howard Davis). He also created the role of Michal in the world premiere of Martin McDonagh's The Pillowman. At the Royal Shakespeare Company: The White Devil; The General from America; A Midsummer Night's Dream and Three Hours After the Marriage. Other London theatre: Cliff Bradshaw in Sam Mendes' production of Cabaret (Donmar Warehouse); The Front Page (Donmar Warehouse); Mr.Kolpert (Royal Court); Mouth To Mouth (Royal Court, Olivier Nomination: Best Supporting Actor).
