Just last week, the Argyle Theatre welcomed Broadway Divafest! Featured artists included Kennedy Caughell (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical; Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812; Wicked), Tari Kelly (Anything Goes; Groundhog Day; Something Rotten!; The Boy From Oz; How the Grinch Stole Christmas; Show Boat), Janine LaManna (Seussical; The Drowsey Chaperone; Swing; Ragtime)Judy McLane (Mamma Mia!; Kiss of the Spiderwoman; Aspects of Love; Chess) and Kissy Simmons (The Lion King).

Just yesterday, Tony Award winner Kelli O'Hara stepped in as soloist with The New York Pops, replacing the previously announced Laura Benanti, who withdrew from the event due to an exposure to COVID-19 in her family. The festive program, led by New York Pops Music Director Steven Reineke included traditional carols and contemporary classics. 

Gingold Theatrical Group presented the next presentation of the 2021 - '22 Season of Project Shaw, a special series of evenings offering some of Shaw's greatest works and those of his contemporaries, presented monthly at Symphony Space's Leonard Nimoy Thalia Theatre (2537 Broadway at 95th Street).

Five of New York’s finest vocalists appeared in an all-new concert created exclusively for Tilles Center. New York Producer Stephen DeAngelis returned with a special Holiday event which allowed the performers to recreate their most memorable musical moments from classic and contemporary Broadway as well as share their favorite Holiday songs.

Let Me Be Me, written by Diamond and Robbie Rozelle, directed by Rozelle, and featuring musical direction and arrangements by Luke Williams, arrived at the Green Room 42 on Friday night and BroadwayWorld was there for the special occasion.

On November 27, The Wizards of Winter performed a holiday rock opera titled 'The Christmas Dream.' This musical journey in search of the true meaning of Christmas is based around the music from their latest release “The Christmas Dream” along with music from their self-titled CD and their album 'The Magic of Winter.'

The York Theatre Company honored musical theater legends Richard Maltby, Jr. & David Shire (Baby, Big, Starting Here, Starting Now, Closer Than Ever) with the 2021 Oscar Hammerstein Award for Lifetime Achievement in Musical Theater and Elisa Loti Stein with The York Theatre Company Founders’ Award at the 29th Oscar Hammerstein Award Gala, held on Monday evening, November 1, 2021 at The Edison Ballroom.

On Saturday, the Tin Pan Alley American Popular Music Project in collaboration with the Flatiron 23rd Street Partnership presented a free, outdoor public concert at the Flatiron North Plaza featuring more than two dozen leading performers of Tin Pan Alley music and the Great American Songbook. 

Directed by Austin Pendleton (Fiddler on the Roof) and with music direction by Nancy Ford (I'm Getting My Act Together and Taking It on the Road), the cast of four will feature Anita Gillette (Moonstruck) as Amanda Wingfield, Piper Goodeve (Anne of Green Gables) as Laura Wingfield, Jeff Kready (Tootsie) as Jim O'Connor, and Howard McGillin (The Phantom of the Opera) as Tom Wingfield.

Tony, Drama Desk and Grammy nominated singer and actor Max von Essen was featured in an intimate New York Pops Underground cabaret performance at Feinstein's/54 Below on Monday, October 4, 2021. The event began with a champagne reception at 5:30pm followed by the performance at 6:30pm, accompanied by a three-course dinner with wine pairings.

Mark William returned to his home turf, The Green Room 42, on Saturday night for the first time in 18 months.
