Allison Allison Allison. You are so gorgeous and I love your chic, classic fashion sense. But, and I am so sorry there is a but, I find this Ralph Lauren dress to be almost too simple. Do I think she looks beautiful? Yes. Is the dress stunning in it's simplicity? Yes. That's not my issue. It's her styling.

I decided to choose a look from Sunday night's Emmy Awards that I am still on the fence about: Kerry Washington. Washington, usually one of my go-to fashionistas, chose a very romantic Marchesa gown. Washington said in one of her red carpet interviews that she knew it was the one after seeing it as the finale dress in Marchesa's S/S 2014 runway show. Wait wasn't that like two weeks ago? Wow, nothing like leaving things until last minute.

There was so much awesome fashion from last night's 65th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, that it was very hard to pick just one person to feature. I loved almost all of the gowns except for a few odd choices I could have lived without (sorry Zosia Mamet). But let's get back to the pretty dresses! There was so much color, so many cutouts, so many daring nude/pastel choices that I decided it was impossible to chose to just Fashion Photo of the Day. So get ready, each day this week I will pay homage to one of my favorite dressed stars from TV's biggest night.

All of the winners have been announced, the celebrating is over and now its time to get to business: the best dressed women of The 65th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards! Let's be real, a lot of people tune in to just see the pretty dresses. Last night's red carpet was no exception!

I am having a moment with this Christian Dior dress on the always gorgeous Natalie Portman. I am so in love with everything about this dress I don't even know where to begin. I have to be honest, I went to the collection of photos from last night's New York City Ballet Fall Gala to feature another actress' look. But then I saw this photo and it stopped me in my tracks. Sorry not sorry about it!

Wowza! Blake Lively is lookin' goood! Lively knows how to walk that fine fine line between sophisticated and sultry. It is hard to make a skin tight, sleeveless leather dress chic, but if anyone can, its Lively. Of course she had help - mainly Gucci - who did a superb job designing this dress from their S/S 2014 collection. Let's break it down piece by piece.

I love a great classic outfit and to me there is nothing better than some skinny pants, a white t and a blazer. In fact, it's my go-to on many occasions. Plus the options are endless with the thousands of denim variations these days (leggins, skinnies, coated, etc..). I love Rebecca Romijn's take on the classic ensemble: black leather pants (yes please!), white t and a red cropped blazer.

I love Malin Akerman's sexy and sophisticated style and think she always dresses her slim, atheltic figure perfectly. But I am a little on the fence about this vintage Victor Costa dress the star wore to Sunday night's Primetime Creative Emmy Awards. I am all for vintage pieces and this one in particular is a great find. But, the same element that makes the black dress interesting is the same element that makes it a bit of a head scratcher: the ruffle.

In honor of the season premiere of Dancing with the Stars, I thought I would feature the gorgeous Karina Smirnoff as today's Fashion Photo of the Day.

Today is the day: the much anticipated 3.1 Phillip Lim x Target collection has arrived!

First of, congratulations to the newly engaged Scarlett Johansson! Last week, Johansson's reps confirmed that the starlet is engaged to French journalist Romain Dauriac. But last night's Don Jon premiere was the first time we all have gotten a good look at her new art-deco sparkler - and it's gorgeous! I don't know what it is about diamond rings, but I never get tired of looking at them. Sigh.

Katie Holmes looked like she walked straight out of the 1950's at the Michael Kors S/S 2014 runway show during New York Fashion Week. Holmes was dressed head-to-toe in Michael Kors and looked as if she was about to leap through fields of daisies. I am on the fence about this look. I think she looks absolutely beautiful but for my taste its a bit too Stepford Wives.

J.Crew's latest collection has a California coast beach feel. Womenswear designer Tom Mora said, 'I want them to walk into our stores and smile. It's a happy collection, filled with fantastic new pieces in great colors, prints, and new proportions.'

It's the middle of S/S 2014 New York Fashion Week but I wanted to call your attention to a fabulous up and coming label that I think is a MUST have for fall. Oh right fall - remember that season? That's the one that's starting right now... Meet Feather.M!

Oh my girl crush Olivia Palermo has done it again. She transformed an already gorgeous, but simple navy dress from the CH by Carolina Herrera line into a must wear preppy chic look. How did she do it? With some of the most obvious yet bold fashion choices. I look at Palermo's styling and I think, 'Why didn't I think of that?!' It has been far too long since I have seen the gorgeous face of Christina Hendricks. But this latest picture of Hendricks was well worth the wait - the hair, the makeup, the dress... everything is perfection! I look at Hendricks and I immediately start hearing music from an old black and white 1940's film noir. Is that just me? That's fine, I am totally okay with it...

Is your calendar marked with a big red target on September 15th? If not, do it right now (I will wait). September 15th is the day the Phillip Lim collaboration with Target launches! We've all been waiting anxiously, and pictures were finally released of the awesome collection last month, which honestly, just made us all more anxious. And now, there are pictures from the press preview party in New York showing celebs rocking the clothing and accessories.

Who says you can't wear white after Labor Day? Rosie Huntington-Whiteley certainly didn't get the memo nor does she seem to care. And seeing her in this Versace dress, I don't care either. I love everything about her look, from the simple white dress to her classic pumps. If this is what white after Labor Day looks like than I am all for it.

I'm sorry, have you seen Olivia Wilde's hot outfit she wore to the London premiere of Rush? I needed to take a minute to find my words because they were totally lost. I mean, she's a girl who knows how to work it! Forget a the LBD - Wilde went for a simple suit by Gucci but decided that a cami was optional!
