According to Variety, actress Tori Spelling is considering becoming the next Roxie Hart in Broadway'sChicago.
"Spelling is on hold for now, but remains a strong possibility for a future stint in the role of Roxie," states the article, which mentions a list of big name stars that producers Barry and Fran Weissler have previously attracted for Broadway's longest-running revival. If cast, Spelling would join Usher as Billy Flynn; he joins the cast on August 22nd. Obba Babatunde currently plays the role.
Spelling, who first gained fame for her 10 year-stint on "Beverly Hills 90210," would be making her Broadway debut with Chicago. Her other film and TV credits include 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover, "The Help," Scary Movie 2, Trick, Scream 2, The House of Yes and "Saved by the Bell."

which opened at the Richard Rodgers Theatre on November 14th 1996, has
