According to the New York Times, playwright and librettist Bridgette Wimberley passed away on December 1st at the age of 68 as a result of complications from strokes.

BroadwayWorld is saddened to report that Broadway actor Elizabeth 'Betsy' Parrish has passed away at the age of 97. 

BroadwayWorld has confirmed that Christopher Tucker, who designed the original prosthetics for the title role in The Phantom of the Opera, has died at age 76.

According to the official Mean Girls Twitter account, Mean Girls original cast member Stephanie Bissonnette passed away at the age of 32. Bissonette had been battling medulloblastoma, a form of brain cancer, since 2019. 

Broadway legend Ronald 'Ronnie' Dennis Watson passed away on December 17, 2022 at 9:20pm after a prolonged illness. He passed peacefully surrounded by family and friends. He was 78 years young. He is survived by his brother George, nieces and nephews, numerous friends and Chosen Family who have shared in his amazing life and spirit.

BroadwayWorld is saddened to report that Stephen 'tWitch' Boss has passed away at the age of 40. The memorable contestant, All-Star and judge of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE was a staple on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” as its resident dancer, DJ and co-executive producer.

According to various sources, Ruth Madoc, the actress best known for playing Fruma Sarah in the Fiddler on the Roof film, and Gladys Pugh in the BBC sitcom Hi-de-Hi! passed away on Friday, December 9th after surgery she received for a fall earlier in the week. 

Broadway actor Quentin Oliver Lee, who most recently starred Off-Broadway in Heather Christian's Oratorio For Living Things, has passed away at age 34 from colon cancer. 

Arthur Callahan, Company Manager for the National Tour of Ain't Too Proud, the National Tour of Jesus Christ Superstar, and the National Tour of Motown The Musical, has passed away. 

According to a post on her official Twitter account, Broadway and film actress Irene Cara, who played the role of Coco Hernandez in the movie FAME, has passed away at age 63 in her home in Florida. The cause of death has not yet been released.

Esteemed theatre critic and artist, Michael Feingold has passed away. He was 77 years old.

Esteemed New York talent manager Bill Treusch died following a long illness on Tuesday, November 15th in New York City. Born March 16, 1942, Bill lived his life in New York City.  Bill was a beloved brother, uncle, manager, mentor, and friend wholeaves behind a wonderfully eclectic group of friends and colleagues. 

BroadwayWorld is saddened to report that Barbara Leah Warner Howard died on November 9, 2022, peacefully at home while listening to Ella Fitzgerald, surrounded by family and friends. 

Michael Butler, famed producer of the musical Hair: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical, passed peacefully November 7, 2022 at the Los Angeles Jewish Home for the Aging in Reseda, CA.  He was born November 26, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois.

Phillips is well known as the voice of the Sorting Hat in the Harry Potter films. He was also seen in four of the 31 Carry On films. Phillips was seen on stage in Peter Pan, Better For Worse, The Merry Wives of Windsor, and more.

Aaron Carter, a singer with credits both on and off-Broadway, has passed away at the age of 34. According to reports, he was found dead in his home in Lancaster, California on Saturday, November 5th.

Oscar and Tony Award nominee Douglas McGrath, who wrote and performed Everything's Fine Off-Broadway at the DR2 Theatre, died suddenly on Thursday, November 3 in New York City at age 64. 

According to various reports, award-winning performer and director Jay Rogers passed away on Friday, October 28th, 2022.

BroadwayWorld is saddened to report that actor and writer Leslie Jordan has passed away at 67. Jordan is most known for his roles on Will and Grace, Hearts Afire, American Horror Story, and Call Me Kat. He was seen onstage in My Trip Down the Pink Carpet and Lucky Guy.

Carly Simon paid tribute to her sisters Joanna and Lucy Simon in a statement released to Entertainment Weekly. Opera singer Joanna Simon, 85, succumbed to the effects of thyroid cancer just one day after her sister, Broadway composer Lucy Simon, 82, died from metastatic breast cancer.

Multi-Award Winning Director/Choreographer Chet Walker passed away peacefully on  ​​​​​​​Friday, October 21, 2022, at his home in Cornelius, North Carolina, from a glioblastoma tumor.  His devoted husband Jack, their beloved daughter Charlie, and close family were at his side.

Opera singer Joanna Simon has passed away at the age of 85. Simon succumbed to the effects of thyroid cancer just one day after her sister, Broadway composer Lucy Simon, 82, died from metastatic breast cancer. The two women are survived by their sister, singer-songwriter Carly Simon.
