Jerry Adler, the versatile performer best known for his role as Hesh Rabkin on The Sopranos, has passed away at the age of 96. His longtime friend Frank J. Reilly shared the news on social media.

Joe Caroff, perhaps best known for designing the James Bond gun logo in 1962, passed away Sunday, August 17, at the age of 103. Throughout his career, Caroff designed hundreds of film posters, including several adaptations of Broadway shows. 

BroadwayWorld is saddened to report that screen and stage actor  Terence Stamp has died at age 87. Stamp is known best for his work as the villain General Zod in Richard Donner's Superman and subsequent films.

Jim McLaughlin, the Emmy-winning television news producer whose work at CBS News transformed the way the arts were covered on American television, died August 7, 2025, in New York City after a brief battle with cancer.

George C. White, founder of the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center, died August 6, 2025, just ten days before his 90th birthday. Over 37 years as Chairman, White transformed Waterford, Connecticut, into one of the most celebrated hubs for developing new plays and musicals in the United States.
