This afternoon, Broadway veteran Joel Hatch has played his final show with the company of the hit musical, Come From Away. A member of the original cast, Joel Hatch has been with the show since it opened on Broadway just over five years ago on March 12th, 2017. He portrayed 'Claude & others' other characters throughout the production. Gene Weygandt will begin performances in the roles on Tuesday, March 22. Gene joins the company directly from the Australia cast of Come From Away.

The Tony and Olivier Award-winning musical Come From Away, which just celebrated its 5th year on Broadway, has just announced that original cast member Joel Hatch will depart the production on Sunday, March 20 and Gene Weygandt will begin performances as ‘Claude & others’ on Tuesday, March 22. Gene joins the company from the Australia cast of COME FROM AWAY.

Following a performance of Come From Away this weekend, cast member Emily Walton was surprised on stage with her diploma from Southern New Hampshire University. When Broadway shut down in 2020, Emily decided to finish her degree, and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

When everyone was experiencing devastation on 9/11/2001, the town of Gander in Newfoundland, Canada was accepting passengers from 38 planes full of people who had been detoured from their various destinations. Come From Away tells this true story. The musical follows the five days the “Come From Aways” stayed in Gander as they try and contact their loved ones and deal with the heartbreaking news that was happening in the states.

It was nothing short of an honor to attend ‘Bonobos to Broadway,’ a special and rare event that was held in collaboration with Tony Award-Winning Broadway Musical COME FROM AWAY and the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, in anticipation of the show’s Columbus debut on February 8-13, 2022.

The cast from the Tony and Olivier Award-winning hit Broadway musical “Come From Away” will perform on NBC’s “Christmas in Rockefeller Center” special prior to the lighting of the iconic Christmas tree.
