Come From Away

The First National Tour of Come From Away will conclude its run May 21st, 2023 at the Royal Theatre in Victoria, BC in Canada. A new National Tour, produced by NETworks Presentations, will launch July 25th through July 30th in Cleveland at Playhouse Square.

Marika Aubrey was born and raised in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. She emigrated to the US six years ago and currently resides in New York City. She is currently on tour with COME FROM AWAY, portraying Captain Beverly Bass. I had the chance to chat with her about her life and career both on and off the stage.

The multi award-winning musical Come From Away, which celebrated its 1000th performance in the West End last night, Monday 28th November, has announced that the production will launch its first ever tour of the U.K and Ireland, opening in Leicester in February 2024.

In 2012 a little musical that could started its trek to Broadway. After a successful 2012 workshop at Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario, this show went to La Jolla Playhouse and Seattle Repertory Theatre. Its journey continued with stops at the Ford Theatre in Washington DC and the Royal Alexandria Theatre in Toronto before arriving on Broadway in March 2017. When it opened on Broadway, it opened with a relatively unknown cast, but its story captured quickly captured the hearts of its audience. That show is 'Come From Away.' The tour is making its second stop in Des Moines from November 22-27 and is perfect for this Thanksgiving holiday.

Segerstrom Center for the Arts has announced that the national tour of COME FROM AWAY, a Broadway musical about the true story of the small town that welcomed the world, is returning to Costa Mesa at Segerstrom Hall for a limited one week engagement from June 21-26.

Thanks to CellOnly and Weisser Distributing, about 24 Sioux Falls Fire Rescue, Sioux Falls Police Department, Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office, PatientCare EMS and Metro Communications employees will attend each of the eight COME FROM AWAY performances May 3–8.

The Lied Center for Performing Arts has announced the national tour of COME FROM AWAY, a Broadway musical about the true story of the small town that welcomed the world, will make its Lincoln, NE debut at the Lied Center for a limited engagement on April 27- May 1.

Popejoy Presents and Haverland Carter Broadway in New Mexico have announced the national tour of COME FROM AWAY, a Broadway musical about the true story of the small town that welcomed the world, will open May 11 its Albuquerque debut at Popejoy Hall for a limited engagement May 11 – 15, 2022.

The National Tour of Come From Away is playing MARCH 22 – APRIL 3 at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts. TUTS presents a virtual talk back with cast members of Come From Away and true to life counterparts, Diane and Nick Marson and Captain Beverley Bass.

Dallas Summer Musicals and Broadway Across America have announced the national tour of COME FROM AWAY, a Broadway musical about the true story of the small town that welcomed the world, will return to Dallas’ Music Hall at Fair Park for a limited engagement March 8-20, 2022. COME FROM AWAY tickets are on sale now!

Nominated for seven Tony awards in 2017 and winning Best Direction in a Musical under Christopher Ashley’s extraordinary direction, COME FROM AWAY landed in Columbus at the Ohio Theatre on Tuesday night to a welcoming and lively audience.  

The Performance of Come From Away today, Saturday, January 15 at 2 p.m. at the Orpheum Theatre has been postponed due to positive COVID cases within the company. 

The National Tour of Come From Away has returned to the stage! The production returned at the Orpheum Theatre in Memphis, TN earlier this month.

The Tony and Olivier award-winning Come From Away is coming to the Van Wezel from Tuesday, Nov. 23 through Sunday, Nov. 28, 2021. Tickets are on sale now.

The show marks the return of Broadway in Fort Worth, kicking off the 2021-2022 Broadway at the Bass season. Tickets are on sale now!

In 2017, I decided in preparation for hosting my first Tony Party to listen to the nominees for Best Musical and Revival. Listening to these shows introduced me to 'Come From Away,' which opened at Des Moines Performing Arts on January 28. As I listened to the fantastic music, I fell in love with 'Come From Away.' I knew once the tour opened, I would want to see this show as soon as possible. When I looked at the itinerary of the first year of the national tour, the closest location was Omaha. So A few friends and I went to see the show. From the moment the music started, I was transported to Gander, and before I knew it, the show was over. As soon as I left, I was planning my next trip to Gander, which would be the tour stop in Chicago. I'm so excited that it has finally made its way to Des Moines.
