Anne Washburn has been named the sixth recipient of the $35,000 Hermitage Major Theater Award. The commission from the Hermitage Artist Retreat includes a Florida residency and a New York workshop anticipated for fall 2027.

Second Stage Theater has revealed the complete cast for its upcoming production of Adam Bock’s dark comedy, The Receptionist, directed by Sarah Benson.

Though the production overall was a bit hit-or-miss for me, I was nonetheless impressed by the design and some stand-out performances, and am genuinely delighted that this show, one of my personal favorites of the Century Cycle, gets to live again on the TAG stage.

THE TYPIST by multiple award-winning playwright Shem Bitterman will make its world premiere next year. 'The Typist” will be presented at the Hudson Guild Theatre in Hollywood,  January  27 through March 9, 2026.

Barra Grant’s new comedy GO PLAY! is running through November 2, 2025 at the Odyssey Theatre in Los Angeles. The play follows three strangers and their dogs at a local dog park, where the four-legged companions provide witty commentary on their humans’ messy lives.
