For one night only, Broadway’s buzziest stars and legendary icons will flip the script on beloved show tunes, reimagining them as powerful stories of LGBTQ+ love and pride when Broadway Backwards returns for its 20th anniversary on Monday, March 23, 2026. 

The first trailer has been released for Tow, the Tribeca favorite starring Academy Award-nominee Rose Byrne. Having debuted at the festival in 2025, the movie is set to be released theatrically on March 2. Check it out now.

Lea Delaria and James Cusati-Moyer have been added to the casts of The Drama League's DirectorFest 2026, a festival focusing on the art of contemporary stage directing.

The iconic rock musical Hair is back in a bold new Brazilian production directed by Charles Möeller and Claudio Botelho. With a cast of 30 led by Rodrigo Simas and Eduardo Borelli, this vibrant staging fuses rock, poetry, and raw emotion to explore freedom, identity, and protest in a turbulent era. Nearly six decades after its debut, Hair still pulses with youthful defiance and idealism, inviting audiences to sing, reflect, and feel the rhythm of a revolution that never truly ended.

Broadway’s funniest writers, actors, and composers are coming together to share how they keep audiences laughing 8 shows a week at “PUNCHLINE AND POWER BALLADS: BROADWAY’S FUNNIEST ARTISTS.'

The final three performances of The Pansy Craze, a six-part series written and created by Hunter Bird and Mason Alexander Park, hosted by Mason Alexander Park, and featuring Lachlan Watson, will take place in November. Learn more!

Wolfe, who brought iconic pieces like Angels in America and The Normal Heart to Broadway stages for the first time, was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Tony Award. If that award is meant to signal the twilight of a career, however, fear not: Wolfe came back to New York the very next year with his critically acclaimed revival of Gypsy starring Audra McDonald.
