The Gateway has announced its 77th Season, an electrifying lineup of Broadway favorites, iconic music, and powerful true stories that celebrate connection, resilience, and the transformative power of live theatre.

The classic musical Funny Girl tells the story of Fanny Brice, a talented but unconventional young woman who quickly rises from chorus girl to a true Broadway star through her own determination and comedic brilliance. Along the way, her soaring career contrasts with the complicated romance between her and Nick Arnstein, forcing Fanny to choose between love and the spotlight. 

Shoshana Bean dished on showing her totally unfiltered self on her new album 'Only Smoke.' Then, she took to the stage alongside Pink to perform a duet of her new song 'Let Me Believe.' Check out the video here!

Theatre Calgary, in partnership with Somerled Arts, will open the World Premiere musical The Tale of the Gifted Prince, with book & lyrics by Lezlie Wade and music by Daniel Green.

Just weeks ago we learned which talented contestants will move forward to the finale of Next On Stage, sponsored by AMDA and Atlantic Acting School! The Top 3 are getting ready to show us what they've got in New York City, as they prepare to perform at the famed 54 Below.

In January of 2026, 54 Below will present some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz, and beyond, including Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp, Matthew Morrison and many more. 

Coming into high school, I knew immediately that I wanted to be a part of the drama club. As the social media manager and eventual president of the club, I felt a great responsibility to make this brand-new theatre program one where everyone felt like they were part of a family. While some traditions were thoroughly thought through and planned, others blossomed from the regular tasks we had to do to put on a show.

Today’s subject Julie Benko is currently living her theatre life onstage at Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC) playing the iconic musical theatre role of Sarah Brown in Guys and Dolls. The show runs through January 8th, but Ms. Benko will be departing the show on December 28th. Read on to see what her next project is.
