BIO
Thomas Lennon was a member of the comedy troupe The State, which starred in the MTV sketch comedy series The State from 1993 to 1995. In 1995, the group also created The State's 43rd Annual All-Star Halloween Special for CBS. Lennon later co-created and starred in the Viva Variety (1997–99) alongside Kerri Kenney, Robert Ben Garant, and Michael Ian Black.
Lennon co-created and starred in Reno 911! (2003–09), reprising his role in the 2020 revival season, the 2021 film Reno 911! The Hunt for QAnon, and the Roku Channel revival Reno 911! Defunded (2022). In 2010, Lennon and Garant created the NBC pilot The Strip.
His television acting credits include guest appearances on Friends, The League, Party Down, New Girl, How I Met Your Mother, Comedy Bang! Bang!, and Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23. He also appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Tonight Show, The Daily Show, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. Beginning in 2008, Lennon performed stand-up comedy and appeared on The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail, John Oliver's New York Stand-Up Show, The Jeselnik Offensive, and The Benson Interruption.
Lennon appeared in films including Memento, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, I Love You, Man, Bad Teacher, and Transformers: Age of Extinction. He also appeared in The Dark Knight Rises and co-starred in Monster Trucks. In 2023, he appeared in Zoey 102.
His voice acting credits include Kim Possible, Bob's Burgers, Archer, Planet Sheen, Rock Paper Scissors, Secret of the Wings, Tinker Bell and the Legend of the NeverBeast, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders, and Dawn of the Croods.
From 2013 to 2017, Lennon was a producer on @midnight. He starred as Felix Unger in the reboot of The Odd Couple (2015–17) and had a recurring role as Leo Getz on Lethal Weapon beginning in 2016. In 2020 and 2021, he appeared as Mr. Mxyzptlk on Supergirl.
As a screenwriter, Lennon frequently collaborated with Robert Ben Garant. Their credits include The Pacifier, Let's Go to Prison, and the Night at the Museum films. In 2011, Lennon and Garant published the book Writing Movies for Fun and Profit. They co-wrote, directed, and starred in Hell Baby and received story credit for Baywatch.
Lennon has also written the young adult novels Ronan Boyle and the Bridge of Riddles, Ronan Boyle and the Swamp of Certain Death, and Ronan Boyle Into the Strangeplace. In 2022, he wrote the book for Trading Places: The Musical!, which premiered at the Alliance Theatre.
