The premise of the show, as it is for many Broadway performers who grace the 54 Below stage, was a retrospective of his career on Broadway so far. Intertwined among the songs that inspired him, were stories from his childhood and the serendipitous moments that eventually led him to being cast in the biggest role of his career to date, Frankie Valli in Jersey Boys.

BIRDLAND JAZZ CLUB will present award-winning vocalist Ben Jones and pianist, composer, music director Ron Abel celebrating Frank Sinatra in “Let Me Be Frank” on Monday, December 4 at 7:00 PM.

Birdland was packed to the brim Monday night for Jamie deRoy and Friends, a variety night benefitting The Entertainment Community Fund.

Once again, hostess/producer Jamie deRoy brought her multi-MAC Award-winning Variety Show, Jamie deRoy & friends, back to Birdland on Monday, October 23.  See photos of the evening.

BroadwayWorld was behind the scenes at the final night of the Cabaret Convention hosted by artistic director KT Sullivan.  Klea Blackhurst presented Billy Stritch with the Donald F. Smith Award.
