BIO
Madison Hilligoss is a New York City–based performing artist, choreographer, and educator whose work bridges rhythm, storytelling, and community. With a background in music, theatre, and dance—and a deep love for the jazz tradition—Madison’s work celebrates musicality, individuality, and the expressive power of rhythm.
As a tap dance soloist, they’ve been featured on television (CBS 60 Minutes), with symphony orchestras (Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, American Pops Orchestra), and in festivals (Northern Michigan Dance Festival). They’ve performed in musicals across the U.S. including 42nd Street, Anything Goes, and The Tap Dance Kid. Their work as a choreographer and associate has appeared on stages such as New York City Center, Manhattan Theatre Club Stage II, New York Theatre Workshop, The Muny, and Bucks County Playhouse. A passionate educator and Summa Cum Laude graduate of NYU Steinhardt, Madison’s teaching work includes NYC Public Schools, A Free Bird (providing arts education to children with cancer), and the tap faculty at Broadway Dance Center.
