BIO
Hayden Christensen made his acting debut in 1993 with a supporting role on the television series Family Passions. In 1994, he appeared in the film In the Mouth of Madness. Between 1995 and 1999, he appeared in television and film projects including Harrison Bergeron (1995), Forever Knight (1995), Goosebumps (1996), Are You Afraid of the Dark? (1997–1999), and The Virgin Suicides. In 2000, he starred in the television series Higher Ground. In 2001, he appeared in Life as a House. He made his London theatre debut in This Is Our Youth in 2002 and appeared in the film Shattered Glass in 2003. In 2005, he made his Broadway debut in a short play as part of the “24 Hour Plays” benefit.
Christensen portrayed Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. He also appeared as Anakin Skywalker in the 2004 DVD re-release of Return of the Jedi. For his performance in Revenge of the Sith, he won the MTV Movie Award for Best Villain in 2005.
From 2006 to 2010, Christensen appeared in several films, including Awake (2007), Factory Girl (2006), Jumper, New York, I Love You (2008), Virgin Territory (2008), Vanishing on 7th Street (2010), Takers (2010), and Quantum Quest: A Cassini Space Odyssey (2010). In the early 2000s, he co-founded the production company Forest Park Pictures, which produced Shattered Glass (2003) and Vanishing on 7th Street (2010). He later starred in American Heist (2014), Outcast, 90 Minutes in Heaven (2015), First Kill (2017), Little Italy, and The Last Man (2018).
Christensen returned to the Star Wars franchise with a voice cameo in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and a voice credit in Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2020). He reprised the role of Anakin Skywalker / Darth Vader in the Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi and appeared in the documentary Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi’s Return (2022). In 2023, he appeared in four episodes of the Disney+ series Ahsoka and was later announced to return for the show’s second season.
