BIO
Devario Simmons is an American Costume Designer of staged productions. He received his MFA in Costume Design from Virginia Commonwealth University and his BA in Production Studies from Clemson University. His design credits include Spamalot, The Merchant of Venice, In the Next Room (or the Vibrator Play), Man of La Mancha, A Streetcar Named Desire, and Ensemble (earning KCACTF’s Design award in Region IV). He has also done work on three seasons of AMC’s television show “Turn,” the 2nd National Touring production of the Broadway hit In the Heights and two seasons of the PBS television series “Mercy Street.” Simmons has most recently been the Resident Costume Design Assistant at Long Wharf Theatre and also the Associate Designer for the Canadian production of Come From Away.
